Queen Maxima visits Villa Pinedo buddy program in Maarssen

Today, Queen Maxima visited the Villa Pinedo buddy program in Maarssen which is one of the winners of the Appeltjes van Oranje 2020 of the Oranje Fonds. Villa Pinedo offers children and young people with divorced parents online support and advice.

During her visit, Queen Maxima spoke with the founder and employees of Villa Pinedo about the start of the buddy program, the matching of experts by experience with children and young people via an online platform, and the possible implementation of the program in all the municipalities in the Netherlands.

Queen Maxima also talked to people who took part in the program to learn more about their experiences as well as people who were supported by the program when they were young and now act as buddies to support children with divorced parents.

Queen Maxima wore her Zimmermann paisley printed midi dress with her Tabitha Simmons cork sandals and J.Crew cork clutch. She also wore her Zara flower earrings.
