The Duchess of Cambridge attends events in Lake District National Park

Today, the Duchess of Cambridge attended two events in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

The Duchess of Cambridge, as Honorary Air Commandant of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, first joined young Air Cadets for several outdoor activities such as mountain biking and abseiling. The event also marked the reopening of the RAF Air Cadets’ Windermere Adventure Training Centre.

Afterward, the Duchess of Cambridge met with Ike Alterman and Arek Hersh, two of the “Windermere Children”, during a boat ride on Lake Windermere. The “Windermere Children” are a group of three hundred children who survived the Holocaust and traveled to the Lake District to start their journey of healing.

The Duchess of Cambridge then visited the Jetty Museum and met with families of survivors and heard more about the Lake District Holocaust Project which works to preserve the stories and experiences of the “Windermere Children”.

For the events with the Air Cadets, the Duchess of Cambridge wore her Seeland jacket with a new top, black jeans, and her See by Chloé boots. She also wore her Liv Thurlwell earrings. For the meeting with the Holocaust survivors, she changed into a new Really Wild Clothing jacket (with thanks to @cambridg_sussex).
