Queen Letizia attends World Cancer Research Day event

Today, Queen Letizia attended an event marking World Cancer Research Day in Madrid as Permanent Honorary President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and its Scientific Foundation.

In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “The advances brought by collaborative and networked research have as a consequence that patients will have better access to more consistent information and researchers will increase their opportunities to advance."

After the meeting, which was held both in-person and digitally, Queen Letizia talked to the digital participants and met with the staff of the AECC as the event also marked the 50th anniversary of the AECC’s Scientific Foundation.

Queen Letizia wore a new lilac suit by Bleis Madrid (with thanks to @letizia_de_princesa_a_reina) with her repeated white top. She paired the outfit with her Prada pumps, her Karen Hallam gold ring, and new earrings by Massimo Dutti (with thanks to Nuria).
