The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit New York City

This week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent a few days in New York City ahead of their attendance at the Global Citizen Live concert this weekend.

On Thursday morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the One World Observatory with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Kathy Hochul.  Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid their respect at the 9/11 memorial.

In the afternoon, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a meeting with US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield to discuss COVID-19, racial justice, and mental health awareness.

They then attended a roundtable hosted in partnership with the World Health Organization on vaccination equity.

In the morning, the Duchess of Sussex wore a navy coat over a Giuliva Heritage sweater (with thanks to @royalfashionpolice) and black trousers. She also wore her Aquazzura navy pumps with her Cartier earrings and watch as well as bracelets by Cartier and Jennifer Meyer, and her Birks ring.

In the afternoon, the Duchess of Sussex wore a new Max Mara coat over a black turtleneck top and a new Lafayette 148 skirt (with thanks to @whatmegwore). She also wore new Giorgio Armani pumps as well as a new Valextra bag and Valentino sunglasses (with thanks to @whatmegwore). She wore her Cartier and Jennifer Meyer bracelets, her Cartier watch, and her Birks ring.


On Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the P.S. 123 Mahalia Jackson School in Harlem.

The focus of the visit was the promotion of early literacy and the Duchess of Sussex read her book ‘The Bench’ to the children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also donated a washing machine, a dryer, and fresh food to the school as well as hygiene products to the families via their partnership with Procter & Gamble.

Afterward, Harry and Meghan were spotted having lunch at Melba’s Restaurant in Harlem.

The restaurant announced that the couple had donated $25K to help the restaurant provide financial relief to its employees.

Meghan wore a new Loro Piana outfit (with thanks to @whatmeghanwore) with new Manolo Blahnik pumps. She also carried a new Bottega Veneta wallet and she wore new sunglasses. She paired the outfit with her Cartier and Jennifer Meyer bracelets, her Cartier watch, and her Birks ring.


On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a meeting with UN’s Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed.

The meeting focused on climate action, vaccine equity, and women’s economic empowerment among other topics.

Later in the day, Harry and Meghan were spotted arriving in Central Park ahead of their Global Citizen Live appearance.


In their speech, the couple promoted vaccine equity around the world and called for pharmaceutical companies to agree to a temporary patent waiver for the COVID-19 vaccine. They also introduced US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield to the stage.

For her first outfit, Meghan wore a new Max Mara coat (with thanks to @whatmeghanwore) over a camel blouse and camel trousers, and her Manolo Blahnik pumps. She also wore her Alemdara necklace, her Cartier and Jennifer Meyer bracelets, her Cartier watch, and her Birks ring.

For her Global Citizen appearance, the Duchess of Sussex wore a new Valentino dress with new black satin pumps. When arriving, she was seen wearing a new black coat that is believed to be by Christian Dior as well as a new black Dior bag, new Miu Miu sunglasses (with thanks to @whatmegwore), and a new scarf. She also wore her Cartier earrings and watch as well as bracelets by Cartier and Jennifer Meyer, and her Birks ring.
