German State Visit to Sweden - Day 2
Today, the German President and First Lady spent their second day in Stockholm with King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
The Royal couple first welcomed the Presidential couple at Drottningholm Palace, their permanent residence, where the Presidential couple learned more about the history of the castle.
Then, they visited the castle’s theater which was built in 1766 and is today the world's only 18th-century theater that still uses the original stage machinery.
The Royal couple and the Presidential couple were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Philip, and Princess Sofia for an official lunch hosted by the City of Stockholm.
In the afternoon, while King Carl-Gustaf and the German President had a separate agenda, Queen Silvia and the First Lady visited Silviahemmet which was founded by Queen Silvia in 1996 and which works with the aim that people living with dementia and their relatives should be given the highest possible quality of life.
The Queen and the First Lady then visited the German school in Stockholm which was founded over 400 years ago and is the second oldest German school in the world outside Germany.
The final stop for Queen Silvia and the First Lady was a panel discussion at the Goethe-Institut, arranged by the Swedish Institute, on the language exchange between Sweden and Germany and how language studies can be encouraged.
In the evening, King Carl-Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl-Philip attended a concert and a reception hosted by the German Presidential couple.
For the day events, Queen Silvia wore a tweed suit with a white blouse, burgundy accessories, and her Cartier bracelet.
For the official lunch, Crown Princess Victoria wore a new By Malina dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Abro clutch. She paired the outfit with her Örjan Jakobsson green headpiece, Dulong earrings, her Epoch watch, her Engelbert gold bracelet, and her usual stack of silver bracelets.
For the official lunch, Princess Sofia wore a new Andiata wine red dress with Stinaa.J beige patent leather pumps and a new Abro clutch. She wore new earrings with a matching ring by Rare Jewelry, her Skultuna bracelet, and her Rolex watch.
For the concert, Queen Silvia wore a silver suit with her Cartier bracelet.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Acne floral printed maxi dress with the matching Acne black floral pumps and her Anya Hindmarch gold clutch.
