King Felipe and Queen Letizia make official visit to Austria
Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia made an official visit to Vienna in Austria. They arrived at the airport in Vienna in the morning.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia then traveled to Hofburg Imperial Palace where they were received by the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van Der Bellen, and the First Lady, Doris Schmidauer for an official welcome ceremony.
Inside the Palace, the Royal couple and the Presidential couple had a short meeting. King Felipe and the President then had their own private meeting while Queen Letizia and the First Lady had theirs. The Presidential couple also offered a lunch for King Felipe and Queen Letizia.
In the afternoon, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and the Presidential couple attended a wreath-laying ceremony in memory of all the victims of National Socialism and especially the Spanish victims in Mauthausen.
Afterward, they went to the Belvedere Museum to inaugurate the “Dalí and Freud. An obsession” exhibition. The exhibition “explores the relationship between Salvador Dalí and Sigmund Freud and thus the reciprocal influence between surrealism and psychoanalysis.”
Queen Letizia wore a new Carolina Herrera coat with a new Pedro del Hierro dress (with thanks to Nuria) and her Burberry belt. She paired the outfit with her Magrit pumps, Nina Ricci bag, repeated earrings, and her Karen Hallam ring.
