Crown Princess Mary opens 'Mary & the Crown Princesses' exhibition
As Crown Princess Mary will celebrate her 50th birthday on Saturday, she will attend several events this week to mark the milestone. Today, she officially opened the ‘Mary & the Crown Princesses’ exhibition at Koldinghus. She was joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Benedikte.
The exhibition focuses on Crown Princess Mary and the four Crown Princesses of Denmark before her.
Crown Princess Mary recorded videos about what she finds most inspiring about the Crown Princesses that came before her and these videos are shown in the exhibition.
Once the exhibition was declared officially opened, the Crown Prince couple, Princess Benedikte, and the guests toured the rooms that make up the exhibition.
The last room focuses on Crown Princess Mary and shows, for example, her Greenlandic national costume.
The Ruby Parure is also part of the exhibition. It now belongs to Crown Princess Mary as Queen Ingrid (who also received it as Crown Princess) left it to Crown Prince Frederik for his future wife.
For the opening ceremony, Crown Princess Mary wore her Claes Iversen coat with her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her Bottega Veneta clutch, and her Cartier bracelet.
For the exhibition videos, Crown Princess Mary wore her Vilshenko dress with her Gianvito Rossi white pumps. She paired the outfit with Cartier, Dulong, and Rebekka Notkin bracelets as well as a Dulong ring.
