King Felipe and Queen Letizia preside over the annual meeting of the Cervantes Institute

On Tuesday, King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the annual meeting of the Cervantes Institute Board of Trustees in the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. The Cervantes Institute is a public institution created by Spain in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language and for the promotion of Spanish and Latin American culture.

Before the meeting, King Felipe and Queen Letizia presented the “Ñ 2022 Award” to Gabriele Morelli, Italian Hispanic philologist, and professor at the University of Bergamo.

The annual Board of Trustees meeting then took place followed by a lunch hosted by King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

Queen Letizia wore her Cherubina dress with her Carolina Herrera pumps, Gold & Roses earrings, and her Karen Hallam ring.
