The Countess of Wessex visits Kigali in Rwanda

On Wednesday, the Countess of Wessex traveled to Kigali in Rwanda. The Countess of Wessex has been on an official visit to the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo this week.

The Countess of Wessex first met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs to discuss strengthening the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Rwanda and UK, promoting women's rights, eradicating Gender-based Violence, and supporting people with disabilities.

Afterward, the Countess of Wessex met with the Minister for Gender and Family Promotion to learn more about Rwanda’s fight against gender-based violence.

The Countess of Wessex then visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

She toured the Memorial’s permanent exhibitions to learn more about the Genocide and Rwanda’s work for peace, unity, and reconciliation.

The Countess of Wessex wore her Soler dress with a navy blazer, her Stuart Weitzman wedges, her Sophie Habsburg bag, and her Felt bracelet.
