Today, Queen Maxima attended two events in her role as UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

She first delivered a digital speech at the opening of the 45th Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Queen Maxima expressed the importance of customization and public-private partnerships in financial services as well as the struggles faced by small farmers to get a fair price for their products and having limited financing options to grow their businesses.

Afterward, Queen Maxima attended the presentation of the report 'The importance of inclusivity in banking' which examines women's experiences with the use of financial services and products and the difficulties they encounter.

In her speech, Queen Maxima said: “Inclusive banking is one of the best ways to prepare our country for the future and to ensure that we are resilient together in the face of adversity. It is also one of the best ways to give people strength, courage, and perspective. A sense of self-worth and pride. A feeling that you matter and that you as a person can fully participate and develop your talent! So this is not just about extra growth and income. It's also about mental health, enjoyment of life, equal opportunities, and connection!”

Queen Maxima wore a Natan coat over a repeated Natan top & skirt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and a repeated clutch. She also wore her Bodes en Bode peridot earrings and her Dinh Van bracelet.
