Queen Maxima attends events in Leiden and Delft

On Wednesday, Queen Maxima attended two events in Leiden and Delft.

She first visited the Hogeschool Leiden as honorary president of MIND Us. She met with students to discuss the mental health of students in higher and scientific education.

Afterward, Queen Maxima visited TU Delft with Mariya Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

They first toured the labs of the BioNanoScience department of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. They also visited the Green Village which is a testing ground on campus for innovations for making a built environment more sustainable.

The visit ended with a discussion about the university's innovation ecosystem and a tour of QuTech, the Delft research institute where scientists work on quantum computers and the quantum internet.

Queen Maxima wore her Massimo Dutti dress with a Maison Vaincourt belt which was first worn by Princess Catharina Amalia. She also wore her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Marina Raphael bag.
