Today, Queen Letizia attended the opening session of the “The bridges of Women. Proposals from the South for global change" conference hosted by the Women for Africa Foundation in Madrid.

In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “Among the things that we must thank this foundation in its 10 years of work, is the fact that it has helped us to change the view of Africa. Because there are many Africas in a huge continent, many different cultures, and a great singularity and diversity that, in general, we do not know well. For this reason, this Foundation places African women at the center, the more than 650 million women and girls who embody 650 million reasons for continuing to advance in these necessary processes of social transformation.”

Queen Letizia wore her Pedro del Hierro dress with her Carolina Herrera camel shoes & bag and her Karen Hallam ring.
