Crown Princess Victoria attends Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony

Today, Crown Princess Victoria attended the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award ceremony. The award aims to honor Astrid Lindgren’s memory and to increase interest in children's and young people's literature in the world.

Crown Princess Victoria presented the 2022 award to Eva Lindström, a Swedish picture book artist. The jury said: “Eva Lindström’s immensely varied stories are capable of many interpretations and reward slow and thoughtful reading. Her uncompromising, boundary-crossing style has qualities that enable her to reach far beyond the intended target group for picture books.”

Crown Princess Victoria wore a repeated black blouse with a new H&M x Iris Apfel skirt as well as new Gianvito Rossi green pumps. Paying homage to Astrid Lindgren, she wore Pippi Longstocking earrings and a horse necklace by Maria Nilsdotter. She paired the outfit with her Epoch watch and her usual stack of bracelets.
