On Thursday, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde commemorated the first anniversary of the tragic floods that hit Belgium last year.

The Royal Couple first met with the affected population, representatives of emergency services, and local authorities in Limbourg.

Afterward, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended a ceremony to pay tribute to the 39 people who lost their lives.
