Crown Princess Victoria names the Victoria Lock in Stockholm
On Wednesday, Crown Princess Victoria attended the naming of the Victoria Lock in Stockholm, which is named after her.
In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “I am honored that the city now wants to let me follow in Karl Johan's footsteps by giving the new lock my name. For me, it is also a reminder of the importance of continuing to shine a light on water issues. They are crucial to our future. Not just for us here in Mälardalen, but throughout the world. And not just a water week like this, but all weeks. It is a great honor for me to name the new lock the Victoria lock today.”
She also unveiled a stone with her signature which will be placed in the new lock canal that is being built in the Victoria lock. The lock canal is expected to open to boat traffic in 2025.
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Andiata suit with a navy top, her Quidam clutch, and her Marzio ankle boots. She paired the outfit with new By Jolima earrings, her Engelbert bracelet & necklace, as well as her trusty Epoch watch.
