Crown Princess Victoria celebrates Svenska Lottakåren's 100th anniversary
On Saturday, Crown Princess Victoria celebrated Svenska Lottakåren's 100th anniversary as Patron of the organization. Svenska Lottakåren works to engage and train women to take an active role in society's preparedness and total defense. Crown Princess Victoria became Patron of the organization in 2005.
In her speech, Crown Princess Victoria said: “You are an important part of Sweden's total defense. Through your efforts, you have shown that preparedness is more than being ready for crisis and war. It is to build security in everyday life and strength in society. Now that our total defense is being rebuilt to meet new challenges, the Lottakåren plays a significant role. You are not only training more women to take an active part in our common defense, but also in safeguarding our democracy. This work is important on so many different levels. By strengthening our security and preparedness, you also stand up for peace and freedom.”
Crown Princess Victoria wore the Svenska Lottakåren’s skirt suit with Marzio pumps and her Quidam clutch. She also wore small hoop earrings and her Edblad ‘Mom’ ring.
