Dutch Royal Couple and Princess Catharina-Amalia visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands - Day 10
On Wednesday, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia visited St Eustatius as they continued their tour of the Dutch Caribbean Islands. They were welcomed by Government Commissioner Alida Francis.
The Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange walked through Oranjestad’s historical center and met Statia residents who talked about their life on the island.
They also talked about the history of slavery on the island and attended a debate with young people about their future on the island.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia visited Zeelandia Beach where they heard about local nature management and the annual STATIA DOET Beach Clean Up.
They concluded their visit to St Eustatius by attending a basketball practice session with schoolchildren and an event celebrating the island’s culture.
Queen Maxima wore her Zimmermann dress with her Oscar de la Renta belt, her Salvatore Ferragamo sandals, and her Glorinha Pranaguá clutch. She paired the outfit with Johanna Ortiz earrings, her Tom Ford sunglasses, and her 360Five Everyday hat.
Princess Catharina-Amalia wore a blue top with white trousers, her Gianvito Rossi sandals, and a Sarah’s Bag clutch. She paired the outfit with her Chimi sunglasses, her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
