Dutch Royal Couple and Princess Catharina-Amalia visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands - Day 6

On Thursday, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia spent the day in Curaçao as they continue their tour of the Dutch Caribbean Islands.

Curaçao gifted King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima a padlock to mark their twenty-first wedding anniversary.

Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange walked to Brión Square, where King Willem-Alexander will give the starting signal for registration for the King’s Games.

They also toured the Otrobanda district, talking to residents and artists and watching musical performances.

The Royal Couple and the Princess of Orange had lunch with representatives of the Curaçaoan authorities in the Governor’s Palace. 

In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia visited the Punda district where King Willem-Alexander struck a coin to mark the 25th anniversary of Willemstad becoming a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In Scharloo district, they watched street art performances, listened to music, and watched sports projects for young people.

The walking tour ended at Princess Amalia Bridge, where they heard the Amalia Waltz, a piece composed for the Princess of Orange.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and Princess Catharina-Amalia attended a dinner at the Cathedral of Thorns attended by 21 residents who make a valuable contribution to their community. The number of guests was chosen to mark the Royal Couple’s 21st wedding anniversary.

Princess Catharina-Amalia wore an Etoile Isabel Marant blouse (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima) with white trousers, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her mother’s Natan clutch. She also wore Rebecca de Ravenel earrings, her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, her Apple watch, and her Chimi sunglasses.

In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Zimmermann dress with her Gianvito Rossi sandals.

Princess Catharina-Amalia wore her LaDress dress with Schutz sandals and her Jacquemus bag. She also wore her Marianna Lemos necklace, her Hermes bracelet, and her Apple watch.
