Crown Princess Mary visits Vanuatu - Day 2

On Monday, Crown Princess Mary spent her second day in Vanuatu to learn more about the consequences of climate change in the Pacific Ocean region.

She first met with Vanuatu’s Foreign Minister Jotham Napat. She was supposed to meet with the President and the Prime Minister but they were both ill.

Afterward, Crown Princess Mary visited the local community Etas, where the relief organization ADRA, with support from the EU, has begun a number of initiatives for women in one of Vanuatu’s most vulnerable areas.

Crown Princess Mary then attended an event on climate change at the University of the South Pacific where she made a speech and spent time with students.

In the evening, Crown Princess Mary took part in an official departure ceremony before traveling from Vanuatu to Fiji.
