On Wednesday, the President of Colombia and the First Lady started a two-day State Visit to Spain. They were officially welcomed at the Royal Palace by King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted private meetings and a private lunch with the Presidential Couple.

In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a State Dinner in honor of President Petro and the First Lady at the Royal Palace.

In his speech, King Felipe said: “We celebrate your visit and, above all, we celebrate the historic brotherhood between our nations and the great fruits that our relationship brings us. The recent history of the last decades unites us in a very close way in the values ​​that emanate from freedom, peace, human rights, economic development, social conscience, and the full assumption of the path of each one in the concert of the nations. It is a relationship of brotherhood, of mutual respect, and of enormous strategic interest.”
