Grand Duchess Maria Teresa takes part in 9th International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict

On Monday, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa took part in the UN event marking the 9th International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa is a United Nations Global Champion for the Fight Against Sexual Violence in Conflict.

In her speech, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa said: “Technology must, foremost, serve to denounce violence, sexual violence, to collect legal proof and to act against perpetrators, to collect first-hand testimonies to help justice, and to enable these extraordinary women to have access to law. These are absolutely necessary conditions for these women to rebuild their lives.”

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a Loewe blouse with her Annelise Michelson earrings, her Annelise Michelson cuff, and her Charlotte Chesnais ring.
