Queen Mary attends 'Bharti Kher - Mythologies' Exhibition opening
On Friday, Queen Mary attended the opening of the exhibition 'Bharti Kher - Mythologies' at the Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen. The exhibition is the museum's largest to date and presents 27 sculptures that engage in dialogue with Bertel Thorvaldsen's classic works and the museum's distinctive architecture.
Queen Mary received a tour of the exhibition and was shown how Bharti Kher's sculptures draw on mythological motifs from around the world and explore themes such as identity, body, and transformation in an artistic field of tension between the political and the poetic.
