Queen Silvia takes part in Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen
On Wednesday, Queen Silvia digitally took part in the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen hosted by the First Lady of Ukraine. The theme of this year’s summit was “Mental Health: Fragility and Resilience of Future”.
In her speech, Queen Silvia said: “Everyone should be able to live a life without free from anxiety and with hope for a bright future. A life without fear, fear for your life, fear for the safety of your family and friends. Everyone should have the possibility to go to work or to school, to meet with their friends and their loved ones. Unfortunately, this is not the case in many parts of the world, not least right now in war-torn Ukraine. As a founder of the organization World Childhood Foundation, the rights of the child are especially close to my heart. […] I will do my utmost through my foundations to support the children of Ukraine.”
Queen Silvia wore her Chanel jacket with a white top and her Cartier bracelet.
