Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attend Gamleby's 750th anniversary
On Friday, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended the celebrations marking Gamleby's 750th anniversary. They first visited the company Saab’s Barracuda unit which is manufacturing advanced camouflage and signature adaptation systems since its inception in 1957.
After an official lunch at the Shooting Pavilion, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel walked to Gamleby Square through Unos Park and the church ruins. During the walk, they met with locals and heard more about the story of the town.
At Gamleby Square, Crown Princess Victoria made a speech during the official ceremony. She said: “When my great-grandfather Gustaf VI Adolf traveled through the country on his Eriksgata in 1954, he made a special visit to Gamleby. I appreciate that today we have been able to follow in his footsteps together with you. Before I came here, I watched a documentary from that visit. There the old king stated that “you live beautifully here” and I can’t help but agree. Then the sun shone over the countryside. You might not really be able to say that today, but the warmth of meeting you brightens the day.”
Crown Princess Victoria wore her Sandro jacket with her H&M skirt, Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Susan Szatmary bag. She paired the outfit with her Skultuna earrings, her Skultuna necklace, and her Edblad bracelet. She also wore three Hidalgo rings that she first wore in 2003. In the afternoon, she changed into her Vagabond sneakers and she wore a Tretorn rain jacket.
