Afterward, Queen Silvia attended a World Mental Health Day roundtable discussion at the University of Gothenburg. In connection with Queen Silvia’s 80th birthday, a professorship in global child and youth health with a focus on mental health will be created at the University and the discussion focused on how different parts of society can work together to support children and young people.
In her opening speech, Queen Silvia said: “Just as we are called to protect the mental well-being of adults in the workforce, we must ensure that schools are environments where children can thrive, both emotionally and academically.”
Queen Silvia wore her Georg et Arend suit with her Georg et Arend printed blouse. She also carried her Loewe bag and wore her usual stack of bracelets.
