King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attend Appeltjes Van Oranje Award Ceremony
On Thursday, Queen Maxima presented the Appeltjes Van Oranje Awards from the Oranje Fonds at Noordeinde Palace. King Willem-Alexander and Princess Beatrix also attended the ceremony.
This year’s Appeltjes Van Oranje Awards focused on the theme 'Loneliness is reduced together' and the prizes were awarded to three social initiatives: the Aruban project 'Hunto Grandi, Grandi Hunto' of Fundacion Movemiento ta Bida, the Al Amal Foundation with the Domino-Effect program, and the Join Us Foundation. The prize consists of a bronze statuette - designed by Princess Beatrix - and a cash prize of 25,000 euros.
Queen Maxima wore a Ulla Johnson dress with her Natan pumps and her Mercedes Robirosa earrings.
Princess Beatrix wore Salvatore Ferragamo pumps.
