On 4 March 1998, then-Hereditary Grand Duke Henri became the Lieutenant-Representative for his father Grand Duke Jean. Then-Hereditary Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Prince Guillaume as well as Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte were in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
