Luxembourg Grand Ducal Family celebrates National Day
On Sunday, members of the Grand Ducal Family attended events celebrating Luxembourg’s National Day.
Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, Prince Félix, Prince Louis, Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory, Prince Sébastien first attended the traditional ceremony at the Philarmonie.
In his speech, Grand Duke Henri announced that Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume will become his Lieutenant-Représentant in October. This is a traditional step toward a future abdication of Grand Duke Henri. Grand Duke Henri will remain the Head of State but Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume will assume most of his constitutional powers.
Afterward, Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, and Prince Sebastien attended the Military Parade.
In the afternoon, the Grand Ducal Family attended the Te Deum marking National Day.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a Natan Couture dress with Natan pumps.
Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie first wore a Natan dress with her Sergio Rossi pumps and a Polène bag.
For the Te Deum, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a Natan dress with white pumps and her Polène pumps. She also wore a Sylvia Martinez hat and her Oscar de la Renta earrings.
Princess Alexandra wore a green dress with her Christian Dior clutch and nude pumps.
