The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh visit Malta - Day 3
On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh spent their third day in Malta.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh first visited the Villa Guardamangia which was the home of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh at the time, when they lived in Malta. It is currently undergoing restoration works to be turned into a museum dedicated to Queen Elizabeth’s time in the country.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended an Ecumenical Service in St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral.
In the afternoon, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh visited the National Library in Valletta where they were shown unique documents linked to Malta-UK history including a decree signed by Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Edinburgh then laid flowers at the Daphne Caruana Galizia Memorial and met some of her family members. Daphne Caruana Galizia was an investigative journalist and anti-corruption activist who was murdered in 2017.
The Duchess of Edinburgh also attended a roundtable discussion at Malta Police Force General Headquarters as part of her work in the fight against violence against girls and women.
In the evening, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended a reception given by the British High Commissioner.
The Duchess of Edinburgh first wore her ARossGirl x Soler blouse with a Zimmermann skirt. She paired the outfit with her Penelope Chilvers shoes and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She also wore her Monica Vinader bracelet and her Giulia Barela ring.
In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Zimmermann dress with her Jimmy Choo pumps. She paired the outfit with her Roxanne Assoulin and Monica Vinader bracelets and her Giulia Barela ring.
