Queen Mathilde visits Côte d'Ivoire - Day 2

On Tuesday, Queen Mathilde spent a second day in Côte d’Ivoire where she is undertaking a working visit to Côte d’Ivoire in her role as Advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She first visited the Mamie Faitai school to learn more about UNICEF’s work with Conceptos Plasticos to build 500 classrooms made of plastic bricks throughout the country.

Afterward, Queen Mathilde visited Lahou-Kpanda to see the impact of global warming up close as this fishing village loses between 1 and 2 meters of land eaten away by the ocean each year.

Queen Mathilde then went to the Stade Laurent Pokou in San Pedro where she met girls who play football as a way of empowerment through sports. Côte d’Ivoire won the African Cup of Nations last month.

Queen Mathilde first wore a Ba&Sh dress (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale) with her Tod’s loafers. She also wore her Gas Bijoux earrings, her Rolex watch, her Longchamp sunglasses, and a Fabienne Delvigne hat.

Queen Mathilde then wore a repeated outfit with her Veja sneakers and her Rolex watch.
