Queen Mathilde visits Armenia - Day 2
On Wednesday, Queen Mathilde spent her second day in Armenia where she undertook an official visit as an Advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
She first visited the Norashen National Park to see how the United Nations Development Program, the European Union, and national and local authorities and communities are working together to preserve the site. She also launched a reforestation project led by the ‘My Forest Armenia association’.
Afterward, Queen Mathilde joined women making Lavash, the ancient Armenian bread.
Queen Mathilde then visited a nursery school in Tsaghkunk that was fully renovated by UNICEF to help encourage the school enrolment of children under the age of five. Queen Mathilde also visited the Avan Centre for Mental Health to hear more about the wide range of therapeutic services offered.
Queen Mathilde concluded her official visit with a meeting with the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Armenia
Queen Mathilde first wore an Alan Paine vest (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale) with a white jumper, jeans, and her Penelope Chilvers boots. She also wore her Gucci sunglasses and her Rolex watch.
Queen Mathilde then wore her Sézane suit with her Sézane jumper and Tod’s loafers. She also wore her Rolex watch.
Queen Mathilde also wore a Dries Van Noten outfit with her Fabienne Delvigne clutch and her Rolex watch.
