Luxembourg State Visit to Belgium - Day 1
On Tuesday, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa started a three-day State Visit to Belgium. The visit was off to a good start on Monday evening as King Philippe and Grand Duke Henri privately celebrated their birthdays together. King Philippe turned 64 on Monday while Grand Duke Henri turned 69 on Tuesday.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were officially welcomed on Tuesday by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at the Royal Palace.
Afterward, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa went to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where Grand Duke Henri laid a wreath.
The Grand Ducal Couple then visited the Palais de la Nation where they met with Stéphanie D'Hose, President of the Senate, and Eliane Tillieux, President of the House of Representatives. After the visit, they joined King Philippe and Queen Mathilde for lunch at the Royal Palace.
In the afternoon, the Grand Ducal Couple and the Royal Couple visited Brussels City Hall where they met the Mayor and greeted the population from the balcony of the City Hall.
In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a State Dinner for Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa at the Château de Laeken.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa first wore an Archivio Indalia coat with a navy Kallmeyer dress (with thanks to @RoyalFashionPolice), her Prada pumps, and her Armani Privé clutch.
Queen Mathilde wore a Christian Dior outfit with Christian Dior accessories and hat (with thanks to GardeRobeRoyale) as well as her Rolex watch.
In the evening, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa wore a repeated gown with Prada pumps. She paired the outfit with the Belgian Scroll Tiara and the Aquamarine Parure.
Queen Mathilde wore an Armani Privé gown with Armani Privé pumps. She paired the outfit with her Nine Provinces Tiara and her Graff necklace.
