The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Colombia - Day 3
On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their third day in Colombia. They first visited the Escuela Tambores de Cabildo, a drum school in Cartagena. The school aims to preserve Cartagena’s rich Afro-Colombian heritage and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the children in a drum lesson led by students.
Afterward, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited San Basilio de Palenque. The town was the first free African town in the Americas and has been declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The couple met with Palenque’s community leaders before touring the town and its market.
The Duchess of Sussex first wore a Johanna Ortiz outfit (with thanks to Meghan’s Closet Chronicles) with her Aquazzura sandals and her Cesta Collective bag. She paired the outfit with a Hannia Char hat (with thanks to What Meghan Wore) and her Ray-Ban sunglasses. She also wore her Ariel Gordon earrings, her Ariel Gordon and Cartier necklaces, and her Cartier bracelet.
The Duchess of Sussex then wore an Argent top with a Posse skirt (with thanks to Meghan’s Closet Chronicles) and her Emme Persons sandals. She wore the same jewels and accessories as earlier in the day except for the earrings as she wore earrings by Colombian designer Maria Esquivia.
