Regal Review: King Felipe and Queen Letizia's Introductory Visit to Morocco
On July 14th, 2014, King Felipe and Queen Letizia started a two-day introductory visit to Morocco following King Felipe’s accession to the Spanish throne.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia were received at the Royal Palace of Rabat where they received the “Wissam Al Mohammadi” Necklace, the highest distinction awarded by the Kingdom of Morocco.
In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia joined the members of the Royal Family for an Iftar dinner at the end of the Ramadan fast.
On July 15th, King Felipe and Queen Letizia first visited the Mausoleum of Mohamed V where they laid wreaths before the tombs of His Majesty King Mohamed V and His Majesty King Hassan II.
Afterward, Queen Letizia and Princess Lalla Salma visited the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Centre of the Lalla Salma Foundation, which focuses its activities on breast cancer.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia then bid farewell to King Mohammed V and Princess Lalla Salma at Rabat Airport.
On the first day of the visit, Queen Letizia first wore a Hugo Boss suit with Magrit pumps and an Adolfo Dominguez clutch.
In the evening, Queen Letizia wore a Felipe Varela white shirt with a Felipe Varela embroidered lace skirt. She paired the outfit with Magrit silver satin platform sandals.
On the second day of the visit, Queen Letizia wore a Felipe Varela suit with Magrit peep-toe pumps and her Magrit clutch.
Afterward, Queen Letizia wore a Felipe Varela coat over a matching Felipe Varela outfit.
