Regal Review: King Felipe and Queen Letizia's Official Visit to NYC - Day 1
On September 22nd, 2014, King Felipe and Queen Letizia started a three-day official visit to New York City. It was their first official visit to the USA as King and Queen of Spain.
While King Felipe attended an academic event with Fulbright scholarship recipients at the Institute of International Education, Queen Letizia visited the Dos Puentes Elementary School where she held a working meeting and attended the signing of agreements between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain and four new schools in the State of New York that are joining the network of "International Spanish Academies".
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended a lunch with a group of leading Spanish researchers in their fields who work in the United States.
