Queen Maxima opens National Education Exhibition in Utrecht

On Tuesday, Queen Maxima opened the National Education Exhibition in Utrecht as the honorary chair of the MIND Us Foundation. The National Education Exhibition is the largest trade fair for education in the Benelux in the field of childcare, primary education, after-school care, and secondary education.

In her speech, Queen Maxima said: “Talking openly and honestly about mental health gives young people the language they need to express themselves and teaches them to recognize feelings. Together we break down the stigma. Not every test yields a ten and not every day in life has to be perfect. Making mistakes is allowed. That's how we learn and grow.  Attention to mental health is an important part of education. There is a lot that schools can learn from each other. It is important to find out what works, so that schools do not have to reinvent the wheel. Fortunately, there are good examples!”

Queen Maxima wore her Natan Couture outfit with her Gianvito Rossi boots and her Marina Raphael bag. She paired the outfit with her Dinh Van bracelet, her Steltman ring, and a vintage Sardi brooch (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima).
