Queen Silvia marks 20th anniversary of the Children's House in Linköping
On Wednesday, Queen Silvia marked Children’s House Day and the 20th anniversary of the first Children’s House in Sweden. The first Children’s House was established in Linköping by the World Childhood Foundation.
In her speech, Queen Silvia said: “Barnahus is based on a golden rule: the child should always be in a better situation after the process is completed, regardless of the legal outcome. I hope that rule will carry us into the future. With the child at the center, we adults will do everything we can to ensure that every child who has been abused is heard, believed, given redress and the opportunity to heal. No child should ever have to regret telling the truth.”
Queen Silvia wore her Zara blazer with a white blouse and her Cartier and Engelbert Stockholm bracelets.
