Queen Letizia marks 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization
On Thursday, Queen Letizia attended the international ceremony for "World Food Day 2025" in Rome, as part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Queen Letizia is FAO's Special Ambassador for Nutrition.

In her speech, Queen Letizia said: “I'll end by recalling what the King of Spain said at the last United Nations General Assembly: "The dignity of the human being is non-negotiable." And only if we place people's rights at the center of food policies will we respect that dignity. And I would like, please, if there's anyone in this room or anywhere who has a better idea than multilateral cooperation to ensure that people have adequate food, to come here, please, and tell us. In the meantime, we're going to have to continue striving to work, to cooperate, to accompany, to care, to help people who haven't been as fortunate as us and who have a more difficult life. His Holiness the Pope just said it right now: "Let us see the suffering of others as our own."“
Queen Letizia then visited the Food and Agriculture Museum and Network (FAO MuNe), a new 1,300-square-meter exhibition space that integrates art, knowledge, tradition, and innovation to disseminate the mandate and work of FAO.

Queen Letizia also met with Spanish FAO employees before attending a luncheon hosted by the FAO Director-General.

Queen Letizia wore her Carolina Herrera suit with a white blouse, her Magrit pumps, and her Furla bag. She paired the outfit with her Gold & Roses earrings and her Coreterno ring.
