The Duchess of Edinburgh marks Alderney's Homecoming Day

On Monday, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited Alderney to mark the 80th anniversary of Homecoming Day. On 15th December 1945, islanders returned home having been evacuated to mainland Britain ahead of the German Occupation in 1940.

The Duchess of Edinburgh attended a service at St Anne’s Church before visiting the Alderney Museum and spending time with islanders at Island Hall.

The Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Laurie & Jules jacket with her Emilia Wickstead trousers, her Penelope Chilvers boots, and her Emilio Pereira bag. She also wore her Giulia Barela earrings.
