Dutch State Visit to Kenya - Day 2
On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent their second day in Kenya where they officially started their State Visit. They were first officially welcomed by President Ruto and his wife at State House.
Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended a delegation meeting before the King and the President gave statements to the press.
The Royal Couple then laid a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Warrior.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima also met with young Kenyans from different backgrounds to hear their personal experiences and ideas about the future of Kenya.
In the afternoon, the Royal Couple took part in a tree-planting ceremony in a forest in Nairobi to underline the Dutch commitment to nature conservation and cooperation with Kenya on the climate agenda.
Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima attended a business forum during which they took part in a round table discussion with CEOs to discuss the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Kenya as well as the social impact of Dutch initiatives in the field of education and employment for Kenyan youth.
In the evening, President Ruto and the First Lady hosted a State Dinner in honor of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima at State House.
Queen Maxima first wore a Natan Couture dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Fabienne Delvigne hat. She paired the outfit with her Luz Camino earrings, her Patek Philippe watch, and Céline sunglasses.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Claes Iversen top and skirt with her Guglielmo Rotta shoes and the Sapphire Necklace Tiara.
