Dutch State Visit to Greece - Day 2

On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent their second day in Greece.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima first visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center where they saw a World Press Photo exhibition on women's rights, entitled 'Resilience – stories of women inspiring change'.

They also attended a round table discussion on combating violence against women.

Afterward, the Royal Couple attended a pitch competition of Orange Grove startups, an initiative of the Dutch embassy that offers support to young Greek entrepreneurs.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the oncology clinic Elpida of the children's hospital Paidon to learn more about their work with the Princess Máxima Center in the field of pediatric oncology.

In the afternoon, the Royal Couple attended a concert by refugee children from a number of Greek refugee camps, organized by the Greek-Dutch NGO Connect by Music. The concert took place at a public school in Athens that participates in the 'Schools for All' program.

King Willem-Alexander then visited a shelter for Ukrainian children refugees while Queen Maxima visited a shelter for unaccompanied minor girls with a refugee background.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a return event for the Greek President with a performance by the Nederlands Danstheater.

Queen Maxima first wore her Claes Iversen cape dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Hermes clutch. She also wore her Fabienne Delvigne flower headband.
