On Saturday, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa attended the opening ceremony of Relais pour la Vie 2025.

This weekend of solidarity is organized by the Fondation Cancer of which Grand Duchess Maria Teresa is the Honorary President. It aims to support research projects, the actions of the Fondation Cancer for patients and their families, as well as the prevention campaigns to reduce the number of cancer cases.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa made the opening speech during the event which took place on her 69th birthday. In her speech, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa paid tribute to both of her parents who died of cancer.
