Dutch State Visit to Cyprus - Day 1
This week, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are undertaking a two-day state visit to Cyprus. They landed in Larnaka International Airport on Monday evening.
On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima were officially welcomed by the Presidential Couple in Nicosia. After the welcoming ceremony, the Royal Couple laid a wreath at the statue of the first President of Cyprus, Archbishop Makarios III.
Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the House of Representatives where they met with chairwoman Annita Demetriou.
In the afternoon, the Royal Couple visited the Joint Rescue Coordination Center and the Zenon center in Larnaca to learn more about the role of Cyprus in international evacuation cooperation. They also visited Sun Potatoes to hear more about the country’s resilient cultivation and the cooperation between Dutch and Cypriot companies in the field.
In the evening, the Presidential Couple hosted a state dinner for King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima at the Presidential Palace.
On Monday, Queen Maxima wore her Max Mara coat with her Altuzarra dress, her Gianvito Rossi boots, and her Wandler bag.
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima first wore a Costarellos dress (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima) with her Gianvito Rossi pumps, her Natan clutch, and her Philip Treacy hat. She also wore her Chanel sunglasses.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Jan Taminiau gown with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Diamond Bandeau Tiara.
