Dutch State Visit to Czech Republic - Day 1
This week, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are undertaking a two-day state visit to the Czech Republic. They landed in Prague on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday morning, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima were officially welcomed by the Presidential Couple at the Presidential Palace.
Afterward, the Royal Couple and the Presidential Couple laid a wreath at the Milada Horáková monument. The monument was erected in memory of the Czech politician Milada Horáková, a champion of women's rights and resistance fighter in the Second World War and against the communist regime.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited the Senate to meet with President Miloš Vystrčil and the Parliament to meet with President of the Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová Adamová. They also met with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala.
In the afternoon, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, and the Presidential Couple visited a branch of People in Need, an NGO that is active in more than forty countries with programs to promote social integration.
They also visited the military airbase Kbely Airport to view defence equipment that was produced in the Czech Republic and purchased by the Netherlands for the Ukrainian army.
In the evening, President Pavel and his wife Eva Pavlová hosted a state dinner in honor of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.
On Tuesday, Queen Maxima wore a Natan ochre outfit with her Natan pumps and her Mercedes Robirosa earrings.
On Wednesday, Queen Maxima wore her Jan Taminiau dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and a Glorinha Paranaguá clutch. She also wore her Philip Treacy hat and her Chanel sunglasses.
In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Jan Taminiau gown with her Gianvito Rossi sandals and a Carolina Herrera clutch. She wore the Ruby Parure Tiara.
