Dutch State Visit to Cyprus - Day 2
On Wednesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent their second day in Cyprus. They first met with the Mayor of Nicosia, Charalambos Prountzos, at the new City Hall. They took a walk through the old city of Nicosia where they learned more about the renovation and urban development of the old city.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima met with the Embassy of the Netherlands’ network of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot alumni who studied at Dutch universities.
They also visited the archaeological site Choirokoitia from the Stone Age, where they viewed only excavations as well as reconstructed houses from that period.
In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a concert and reception in honor of the Cypriot Presidential Couple.
Queen Maxima first wore a new Natan dress with her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Sophie Habsburg clutch. She also wore her Tom Ford sunglasses.
