Danish State Visit to France - Day 2
On Tuesday, King Frederik and Queen Mary spent their second day in Paris, France. They first visited the tapestry weaving factory Manufacture des Gobelins with First Lady Brigitte Macron. They saw the 16 gobelin tapestries that were commissioned for Koldinghus in 2018 and that will be exposed there later this year.
Afterward, King Frederik and Queen Mary joined President Macron and the First Lady at the official opening of the economic forum France-Denmark: A European Partnership for a Resilient Future.
Queen Mary and the First Lady then visited the school Ecole Maternelle Dussoubs which has recently joined the Mary Fonden’s Free from Bullying program.
In the afternoon, King Frederik and Queen Mary went back to the France-Denmark economic forum where they met with Danish and French companies with a focus on defense, health, and green energy.
Queen Mary and the First Lady then visited the Grand Palais which will house the exhibition ‘Tapisseries Royales’ this summer presenting modern Danish contributions to the art of tapestry before they become part of the permanent exhibition at Koldinghus.

In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception at Le Grand Hotel for the delegation’s members and selected French and Danish guests.
Queen Mary first wore her Scanlan Theodore suit with a repeated blouse, her Gianvito Rossi pumps, and her Max Mara bag.
