King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visit the United Kingdom - Day 1

On Thursday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia started a two-day official visit to the United Kingdom.

They were welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle where both Royal Couples planted a Swedish oak tree, which comes from Solliden on Öland. The tree is a coronation gift from the Swedish Royal Couple. King Carl Gustaf used the spade that King Gustaf V also used to plant a tree at Windsor together with King Edward VII in 1908.

Queen Silvia wore her Oscar de la Renta jacket with black trousers and her Rieker trainers.
