King Harald and Queen Sonja visit Troms County
This week, King Harald and Queen Sonja made a two-day official visit to Troms County. On Wednesday, the Royal Couple visited Balsfjord, where King Haakon and Crown Prince Olav stayed in May and June 1940.
On Thursday, King Harald and Queen Sonja visited Kvænangen, where Norwegians, Samis, and Kvens live together. In her speech, Queen Sonja referred to the Norwegianization as a dark chapter in history but highlighted the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission: “I hope this great and important work can correct some of the mistakes that were made, and that we can all learn from this. That we can live well together, as you do, in a diverse community. “
King Harald and Queen Sonja then hosted a reception on the Royal Ship Norge for those who had helped organize the county visit.
On Wednesday, Queen Sonja wore her Theory white coat.
On Thursday, Queen Sonja first wore a red coat with her Chanel bag and her Christian Dior beret. She changed into her Brunate pumps for the reception.
