King Harald and Queen Sonja visit Svalbard - Day 1
On Saturday, King Harald and Queen Sonja started their official visit to Svalbard. They visited Bjørnøya – the southernmost of the Svalbard islands – for the first time.
During their visit, the Royal Couple met the new crew at the meteorological station and Queen Sonja had the opportunity to release the weather balloon for the day.
Queen Sonja wore a Haglöfs jacket with Norrøna trousers. She also wore her Conte of Florence hat and Hestra gloves.
