On Monday, Princess Marie attended several engagements with her patronages in Copenhagen. She first visited the JunkFood non-profit organization which is fighting food waste and providing nutritious meals to the community's most vulnerable. She met chefs, volunteers, and students who prepare up to 700 free meals every day.

Afterward, Princess Marie hosted a meeting with representatives from Hjernesagen to hear more about their work to prevent and improve the treatment of strokes and other brain injuries. The organization offers counselling and community to patients and relatives throughout the country.
